At the Africa Capacity Building Community (ACBC), we are passionate about advancing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging while empowering leaders in Africa’s Social Impact sectors. Since 2017, ACBC Coaching Scholarship has been offering coaching programs that help elevate leadership and create meaningful, lasting change for leaders from across Africa and beyond—especially those focused on driving social impact and supporting the development of the continent.
I’m Jaung Ah ("jung-a") Lee, the founder of ACBC. My lifelong passion has been unlocking human potential and inspiring growth. My journey began in Ghana, West Africa, where I discovered not only what brings me joy but also the importance of capacity building within communities. Working with leaders across Africa continues to be a rewarding experience and fuels my dedication to building a brighter, more equitable future for all.
As a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), I’ve had the privilege of working in capacity building for developing societies. I previously served as the Director of Capacity Building Programs at the UNWTO ST-EP Foundation in Seoul, focusing on enhancing educational environments. My experience also includes teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL), conducting research, training teachers in collaboration with publishers, and coaching organizations in both the social impact sector and Fortune 100 companies.
At ACBC, our ultimate goal is to co-create a partner-centered environment for growth and development through coaching, helping individuals and organizations thrive.

What is coaching and its impact?
The International Coach Federation (ICF) defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.
According to Building Coaching Culture for Change Management published by International Coaching Federation, ICF, the research shows the impact of coaching as follows “Among organizations with a strong coaching culture, approximately three in five (61%) are also classified as high performing organizations. (The Human Capital Institute (HCI) and the International Coach Federation (ICF), 432 participants in this study, which included Human Resources (HR), Learning and Development (L&D), and Talent Management (TM) professionals; internal coach practitioners.)”
Quote by Judith E. Glaser
To get to the next level of greatness depends on the quality of the culture, which depends on the quality of the relationships, which depends on the quality of the conversation. Everything happens through conversations!
